Apocalypter lets you install car parts across different vehicles. The confirmed customization systems include engines, suspension, radiators, cosmetic components and cargo storage. The part adjuster moves or rotates components such as an engine, exhaust or radiator. There is one important towing exception: current release notes say rear bumpers cannot remain fitted when a trailer is attached.

The official customization description explains compatibility, but it does not provide a tested ranking of engines or a universal best build. Use the table below to choose which system to investigate instead of buying into unsupported performance claims.

Match a part to the problem

Change one thing at a time

A useful way to evaluate a new setup is to keep a known working baseline, change one component or position, and check the result before making another change. This is a comparison method, not a claim about hidden performance statistics. Record the part name and what you observed so you can reverse an unhelpful change.

The official page explicitly describes moving and rotating the engine, exhaust and radiator. It does not supply a complete current keyboard reference. Follow the control prompts shown in your version rather than assuming a key from an older demo video still applies.

Keep cargo and towing separate

Storage additions help organize a mobile base, but a trailer also changes the vehicle's attachment behavior. The September 26 patch says attaching a trailer automatically removes bumpers and that rear bumpers cannot be used while towing. Attaching a suspension lift kit also detaches the trailer so it can connect in the correct position. See the trailer checklist before treating this as a new bug.

What this guide does not establish

The demo has only one car according to the current store page; the full game has different cars to find. That distinction does not identify where each vehicle body appears. Exact vehicle locations, a complete parts catalogue and fastest-engine rankings require further current-version evidence.

For confirmed changes to vehicle behavior, consult release updates. For planning an expedition around your setup, return to the beginner guide.
